About MPH Design
Growing up, Mike always looked up to his grandfather who owned his own business for 20+ years. He loved the idea of being the boss, but more so providing a living to others and helping his family and friends. He knew from a young age that he would one day own his own business. While working for his grandfather in masonry restoration for over 10 years, he was presented with an opportunity to buy a fixer upper and rehab it to resell. With help from family and friends, the opportunity became a reality. It went better than he could have expected and the bug was planted to start flipping houses. Unfortunately, with the lag time between buying and selling the houses, it was unrealistic to be able to keep a crew of laborers working consistently. And so began MPH Design, a residential home remodeling business that was originally intended to simply keep the work crew busy between house flipping. Now, six years later, it’s a well-oiled machine that keeps the schedule full, and keeps friends and family working and providing for their own families, just like he always imagined.
Mike has always had a big heart and loves being able to give back and pay-it-forward. In December of 2020, he decided to give away a one-time bathroom remodel for someone who had fallen on hard times. This one-time giveaway very quickly turned into Hanley’s Helpers, a charitable subsidiary of MPH Design, which now regularly looks to provide charitable work to those in need at no charge, as time allows.
With growth forever on his mind, Mike will continue to push and grow his business to help more and more people. He loves nothing more than the look on his customers’ faces after a job well done and transformation of their houses into homes.
